Wild Portals is a MegaWays slot with a top win the size of a black hole but also substantial risk of falling into oblivion when chasing it. As a result, some types of players will gravitate towards it more than others and take it as a challenge of a lifetime.
Base Game
Among the six low-pay 9—Ace symbols, the slot has four gems, all of which can appear stacked. Unfortunately, they don’t pay significantly more except for the purple gem that can generate up to 10x bet for a full line. That is because of a 2×2 Wild Portal that can randomly appear on reels 2—5. Every time it comes up, wins will be calculated and paid out as normal. It will then also reveal the Ace, King, Queen, Jack, Ten or Nine and remove such symbol instances from the screen. Doing so will increase the mega wild’s multiplier by one for each symbol. New symbols will then drop down in exchange for the ones that were zapped. This will continue until no new instances of the revealed symbols occur on the screen. After that, a second win is awarded, if any, based on the new layout.
It doesn’t stop there, because once all instances of the Wild Portal symbol are cleared, the portal can change to another symbol and then again. This can grow the multiplier significantly and possibly generate some nice returns that otherwise tend to be muted in the base game alone. Naturally, the more symbols or MegaWays you have on that spin, the greater the win potential. Unlike in Lion feature in King of Cats, a bigger multiplier won’t grow the wild symbol itself.
Free Spins Bonus
For 3 or more Scatters you will get 8 Free Spins, plus 2 for each Scatter beyond the third. The nice thing about the bonus is that a Wild Portal is guaranteed on each spin. Better yet, any Wild Portal Multiplier from the base game will be carried over into the bonus, where it has no limit and won’t reset until the end. That end can be postponed with 3 or more Scatters that will re-trigger the bonus for +2 spins, plus 2 for each Scatter beyond the third. Win Exchange

When judging Wild Portals in the context of Big Time Gaming’s other innovative releases, however, there is not much to be very excited about in the eyes of a seasoned player, except for the astronomical win potential that sits above 100,000x.
