Space Wars 2 PowerPoints
Space Wars 2 PowerPoints Slot Review (NetEnt)
NetEnt is introducing a new PowerPoints concept in the epic sequel of Space Wars 2.
Fused with the Avalanche mechanic and five special symbols that can be combined for an entertaining amount of bonus boosters, this slot takes on an all-new approach to payouts. Instead of coins, you’ll collect points that fuel a multiplier meter. The win multipliers on the meter rise slowly in the base game and increase exponentially in the free spins bonus. If you manage to zap enough monsters to keep the power-meter going, you may end up with enough points to get you the grand prize of 10,020x.
Space Wars 2 will be released globally on 30 June 2022. You’ll find it at trusted NetEnt slot sites like Hotstreak Slots.

Avalanches and PowerPoints
Space Wars 2 is not a regular spinning slot but one with Avalanches, the same kind that was introduced way back with Gonzo’s Quest and the same that you’ll find in Gonzo’s Quest MegaWays as well as the new Funk Master. To win, you’ll simply need a match of 3 or more symbols of the same kind, horizontally or vertically.
In contrast to NetEnt’s Cluster Pays mechanic, which you’ll find in the newer Gonzo’s Gold, for instance, all winning symbols will explode and disappear from the view. That will create empty positions for new and existing symbols to fill, and possibly form new win combos. Each match win awards PowerPoints which are diluted at a ratio of 1:100. That means you’ll need 25 PowerPoints to win 0.25x, 50 points for 0.5x, 100 points for 1x and so on. Note that at some point, the rewards meter above the reels will skip multipliers, so the next step from 5x will be 10x, then 20x and then the bonus trigger. So the maximum you can win from the base game is 20x plus Free Spins.
Space Wars 2 is a colourful game that has three sets of symbols that pay as follows:
- 5 low symbols (planets) that pay up to 80 PowerPoints for a cluster of 8.
- 5 medium symbols (aliens) that pay exactly double, up to 160 PowerPoints
- 1 high symbol (red crystal) pays up to 240 PowerPoints
In addition, there are 5 of the more special types of symbols below.
Features
Every time you get a winning combo consisting of 3 or more symbols, you’ll get a special feature symbol. Here are the six feature symbols that can make collecting PowerPoints much easier:
- Column/Row Blaster – match 4 symbols horizontally to get the Column Blaster symbol. All regular symbols on the same reel will be removed for PowerPoints. Match 4 symbols vertically to get the Row Blaster, which will do the same for all regular symbols on the same row.
- Zapper – match 5 or more symbols to remove up to 4 random types of high/medium/low symbols from the reels in exchange for PowerPoints.
- Bomb – get a vertical and horizontal match intersecting to win the Bomb feature. It will remove all adjacent regular symbols and multiply PowerPoints should among them be a Multiplier Wild.
- Wild & Multiplier Wild – match 3 symbols to get a Wild symbol. Multiplier Wilds appear randomly in Free Spins with a multiplier value of x2, x3, x4, x5, x10 or x25.
It gets better if you get any two of them side by side.
Combos
Space Wars 2 has three kinds of bonus combos. Note that all special symbols must be adjacent to activate a combo:
- Column/Row Blaster + Bomb – The Bomb symbol will merge with the Blaster symbol and remove up to +2 extra columns/rows (one on each side of the symbol).
- Zapper + Bomb – Up to 3 types of high/medium/low symbols will be transformed into Bombs which generates a massive explosion.
- Zapper + Column/Row Blaster – Up to 3 types of high/medium/low symbols will be transformed into Column or Row Blaster.
A place where all the best comes together is the Free Spins bonus.
Free Spins
Collect 1,000+ PowerPoints to win Free Spins (minimum 8). Similarly to Funk Master, the bonus game is played with a bigger “reel” as the game screen expands from 6 to 8 rows. As to be expected, the collect meter won’t reset and it has a much steeper multiplier ladder that goes from 3x straight to 10x, then to 80x in increments of 10, followed by 100x, 120x, 140x, 150x, 180x, 210x, 240x, 250x, 300x, 350x, 400x, 500x, 600x, 700x, 800x, 1,000x, 3,000x, 5,000x and 10,000x.
You’ll also get 1-3 extra spins for reaching the following thresholds: 1,400, 2,800, 4,200, 5,600, 7,000 and 8,400. As mentioned, the bonus also introduces Multiplier Wilds which can multiply wins by up to 25x each, including when it’s part of a combo.
Since it may take at least 500 spins to activate the bonus, the other way of getting through to Free Spins is using the Space Wars 2 bonus buy.
Buy Feature
Fortunately for many, the feature buy in the new Space Wars slot comes in three options:
- 8 Free Spins – 75x bet
- 12 Free Spins – 140x bet
- 16 Free Spins – 250x bet.
Keep in mind that the game is volatile, so expect to lose more money than you pay for most of the time. As standard, the bonus buy mechanism is not available in the UK.
đź‘Ť Tip: Space Wars 2 is available in two RTP variations: 92% and 96.05%.
Conclusion
All in all, Space Wars 2 is a slot that deserves closer attention. It’s easier to follow than Funk Master which was released just before this game. It also looks and feels more premium (resembling that of the original), just like what you’d expect from a studio with more than a decade of experience. The new PowerPoints concept is an interesting one, although it also suffers from small payouts like most of the games of this type. The fact that the base game payouts are limited to 20x can be a dealbreaker for some too. As such, the bonus game has the most burden to carry as it’s where the biggest points are to be claimed. Get past the 100x multiplier and things start to get very interesting, especially since they’ve included extra spins on six occasions, which can carry the momentum for several intense minutes. The average free spins win tends to be around 100x, so don’t get carried away with bonus buys and overpay for the chance in the short term, keeping your bets within reason.
If you like the Reactoonz type of genre and have also tried other premium cluster-pays slots like Jammin’ Jars 2 and Millionaire Rush, then this is a logical continuation that is poised to offer a few good hours of play at the minimum.

Can you trust Mvideoslots.com reviews? I hope so, because at the end of the day I want you to be happy with the casino or slot that you choose. But I also encourage you to look at other trusted sites which may have different opinions. If you decide to look around then make sure that it is a trusted source because it is common practice for casino operators to have their own “review sites” which are biased, not to mention the sites which have reviews written by people who are not following the industry.
