Space Wars 2 is not a regular spinning slot but one with Avalanches, the same kind that was introduced way back with Gonzo’s Quest and the same that you’ll find in Gonzo’s Quest MegaWays as well as the new Funk Master. To win, you’ll simply need a match of 3 or more symbols of the same kind, horizontally or vertically.

In contrast to NetEnt’s Cluster Pays mechanic, which you’ll find in the newer Gonzo’s Gold, for instance, all winning symbols will explode and disappear from the view. That will create empty positions for new and existing symbols to fill, and possibly form new win combos. Each match win awards PowerPoints which are diluted at a ratio of 1:100. That means you’ll need 25 PowerPoints to win 0.25x, 50 points for 0.5x, 100 points for 1x and so on. Note that at some point, the rewards meter above the reels will skip multipliers, so the next step from 5x will be 10x, then 20x and then the bonus trigger. So the maximum you can win from the base game is 20x plus Free Spins.

Space Wars 2 is a colourful game that has three sets of symbols that pay as follows:

• 5 low symbols (planets) that pay up to 80 PowerPoints for a cluster of 8.
• 5 medium symbols (aliens) that pay exactly double, up to 160 PowerPoints
• 1 high symbol (red crystal) pays up to 240 PowerPoints

Features

Every time you get a winning combo consisting of 3 or more symbols, you’ll get a special feature symbol. Here are the six feature symbols that can make collecting PowerPoints much easier:

• Column/Row Blaster – match 4 symbols horizontally to get the Column Blaster symbol. All regular symbols on the same reel will be removed for PowerPoints. Match 4 symbols vertically to get the Row Blaster, which will do the same for all regular symbols on the same row.
• Zapper – match 5 or more symbols to remove up to 4 random types of high/medium/low symbols from the reels in exchange for PowerPoints.

  

• Bomb – get a vertical and horizontal match intersecting to win the Bomb feature. It will remove all adjacent regular symbols and multiply PowerPoints should among them be a Multiplier Wild.
• Wild & Multiplier Wild – match 3 symbols to get a Wild symbol. Multiplier Wilds appear randomly in Free Spins with a multiplier value of x2, x3, x4, x5, x10 or x25.

Combos

Space Wars 2 has three kinds of bonus combos. Note that all special symbols must be adjacent to activate a combo:

• Column/Row Blaster + Bomb – The Bomb symbol will merge with the Blaster symbol and remove up to +2 extra columns/rows (one on each side of the symbol).

  

• Zapper + Bomb – Up to 3 types of high/medium/low symbols will be transformed into Bombs which generates a massive explosion.

  

• Zapper + Column/Row Blaster – Up to 3 types of high/medium/low symbols will be transformed into Column or Row Blaster.

Free Spins

Collect 1,000+ PowerPoints to win Free Spins (minimum 8). Similarly to Funk Master, the bonus game is played with a bigger “reel” as the game screen expands from 6 to 8 rows.
